Before we talk about the “demonstration” farce by the Chinese mother and son, it’s necessary for us to have a review of the “Zhaoyuan Murder Case.” On May 28, 2014, the murder took place at a McDonald’s restaurant in Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province. According to reason, it was just a common criminal case. But on the next day, the criminal suspects were said to be “members of the Church of Almighty God.” Immediately, this common criminal case was widely publicized and reported by Chinese media, and it created a background favorable to the CCP’s upcoming movement of suppressing and persecuting the Church of Almighty God. In the case, there is a coincidence: The malignant murder committed by Zhang Lidong and the other criminal suspects “matches” perfectly the rumors made by the CCP that slandered the Church of Almighty God.
